Renaissance Midterm



Renaissance Midterm:
Keep in mind in particular:
• Indication of patron/patrons, whereas possible
• Historical context;
• iconographic description;
• stylistic description
• biographical elements of the artist
• pertinent references to other works of art of the same artist or of other artists
• place (church, palace etc.) in which the work is or was displayed;
• museum in which the work is now displayed
• comparisons with other works of art, other artists…
• linguistic accuracy and tidiness
